It is appropriate because they can learn from them by observing them and see what they are about and how they work according.
@ Shalon So you are saying that if I see my eyes I will know the purpose? I thing you need to think about what things each sense is used to observe.

It highlights the part of the body responsible for the sense a one is experiencing and also an example of each.
